altered states

as the collage workshop winds down i'm all wound up in the final technique we've been introduced to. it sounded like too much work, too much mess, too many supplies to find. it has turned into an obsession. all of it: the search for supplies (citrasolv, national geographic magazines), the work  (dripping, spilling, smushing), the mess. my living room paved in newspaper and sheets of altered pages. like these...

  1. Looks like the messy work has been worth it. Love, love, love all the textures and quiet colors.

  6. Isn't the citrasolv and the magazine smushing thingie just the most amazing process??! I've done it, too, and have stacks of papers ready for when inspiration hits. I do love to make a mess. Not clean it up, you understand, but the making of it is pure joy!
